making complex tasks simple using intuitive software solutions

ayrmer software :: case study :: august, 2008

Sussex Resilience Forum website launched

west sussex county council Ayrmer Software have recently developed a Community Risk Register (CRR) for Sussex Resilience Forum that provides users with a Content Management System (CMS) and Document Management System (DMS). The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 requires local authorities responder bodies to co-operate in preparing for and responding to emergencies through a Local Resilience Forum Plan. The system enables Local Resilience Forums to meet their statutory obligations and helps with the distribution and retrieval of the Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and Specific Incident Procedures (SIPs) associated with the Community Risk Register (CRR).

The Content Management System (CMS) allows Resilience Forums to maintain their website content. In addition to the CMS, users can update news articles and events as well as maintain a full list of members (via the Members Directory).

The Community Risk Registers (CRR) allow the general public to view the risks identified by the local authorities responder bodies. Each responder can access a secure members area in order to access the Standard Operational Procedures (SOP)s, Specific Incident Procedures (SIP)s and Reference Documents associated with the Resilience Forum.

Users can download Standard Operational Procedures (SOP)s, Specific Incident Procedures (SIP)s and Reference Documents which are hyperlinked to each other, allowing users to access essential information quickly and efficiently!

The system provides all the tools required for local authorities to meet their statutory requirements under the The Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

"The specification was interesting and there was alot of merit in working through it with you (before the development phase). The solution (website) meets our expectations, as an administrator I am comfortable with it and have received very good feedback (from its users)."
Caroline Carpenter, Performance & Service Review Manager
