making complex tasks simple using intuitive software solutions

web development :: scheduling, seating plans, staff rotas and event management systems

summit events :: event management systems The cost of organising events or managing staff rotas effectively is enormous, often draining human resources of middle / senior management. Summit Events and NRG Business Networks are two prime examples of where the right solution has enabled their businesses to flourish, focusing on their clients, ensuring they meet their needs.

events management system :: case study (summit events)

We initial developed an event management system for Summit Events in 2004, based upon a Microsoft Access application they previously used. The system is responsible for creating schedules for each participant over a three day period, based upon user preferences made before the schedule is run. Each participants schedule attempts to make a series of one-to-one business meetings, then matches any remaining preferences during the meal times throughout the events. The old system used to take hours to run and normally managed a 70% success rate.

Once we understood the issues, we were able to provide a solution that manages far more than the original system and is able to run the schedules is seconds, normally resulting in 100% success rate. The benefits to the business are obvious, more time spent looking after their event delegates!

summit events :: seating plan

The system includes a seating plan, that creates a number of seating plans for the lunches and dinners through the three day event based upon delegate preferences. This has enabled Summit Events to provide real added value, by maximising the time delegates have to network with each other. Having attended two events in Dublin and Berlin, we had first hand experience of how the system helped them run each event.

We re-developed the client interface last year, streamlining the process of collecting information from the delegates before the event. This is turn has allowed Summit Events to offer a huge amount of information about all the delegates prior to the event, enabling people to research other delegates

events management system :: case study (nrg business networks)

NRG Business Networks had two issues; the first was the time it took to process bookings for their business network lunches; the second was they wanted to expand using a franchise model. The solution was to provide a back-end system that allowed the area directors (franchisees) to create and distribute event information, including seating plans based upon the attendees preferences.
